ALL ARE WELCOME

For over 50 years, Lake Shore Unitarian Society (LSUS) has brought interfaith families from a variety of religious backgrounds together in a community of shared values: compassion, respect, and responsibility. At our weekly service, LSUS hosts a highly regarded speaker, who is drawn from a wide range of fields and provides insights that inspire and enhance appreciation for the world in which we live. We offer quality music as another source of spiritual inspiration.

NEXT TED & Joe

Sunday, July 25 – 9:30 am (CT) – Garden of Nancy Prial and Jim Pavlekovsky

We Need to Talk About Justice: In an engaging and personal talk — with cameo appearances from his grandmother and Rosa Parks — human rights lawyer Bryan Stevenson shares some hard truths about America’s justice system, starting with a massive imbalance along racial lines: a third of the country’s black male population has been incarcerated at some point in their lives. These issues, which are wrapped up in America’s unexamined history, are rarely talked about with this level of candor, insight and persuasiveness.
