Farewell Kendra!

Board Member, Kendra Mirasol, has taken the role as CEO of VitalTalk, a Seattle non-profit organization focused on training clinicians to have more competent, compassionate and values-based conversations with seriously ill patients.

On behalf of LSUS,  we would like to thank Kendra for everything she has done for our organization. The time, attention, and resources she has allocated over the past few years has greatly benefited LSUS. While we are sad to see her leave, we are joyful for all the people and places that will benefit from her time in Seattle. We look forward to seeing her when she visits Chicago!

Oh no! You’re leaving, Kendra? That is not the news I wanted to hear upon my return to the U.S. But as was said in the post, I too am sure that VitalTalk and the people around you in your new community in Seattle will benefit greatly. It was a pleasure to get to know you a bit, if even for a short time in our little area of greater Chicago. Good speed, stay well, and continue to lift spirits in your new adventures! Hopefully I’ll see you again sometime!

Thank you, Kelt, for your kind words. I have been so grateful to have found so many like-minded, caring people at LSUS and have especially enjoyed being engaged with the Board and all the social activities. I will miss you, the rest of the gang and all of the amazing speakers. But, stay tuned…I hope to return as a speaker, too! Thank you, all. <3

I am so glad we had you for these few years for the innumerable ways in which you enriched us all as a key board member, a warm and engaging congregant and a special friend. I am very glad you will always have roots in the midwest so we can always hope to see you again on a Sunday morning!
