An Analysis of the Political Parties’ Response to the 2020 Election Results

April 25, 2021 @ 10:15 AM 11:30 AM

Julie Strauss, Ph.D., will speak on the topic An Analysis of the Political Parties’ Response to the 2020 Election Results.  Since neither party can claim an overwhelming mandate from the results, this discourse will take a look at the changing demographics in the electorate and how each party is benefitting from, and losing out, due to these shifts.

Julie Strauss has given talks in a variety of settings including Oakton Community College, various Jewish communities, North Shore Senior Center, retirement facilities, community groups and at several Road Scholar’s seminars at the Perlstein Resort in Wisconsin. She received her Ph.D. in American Politics from Northwestern University.  Her dissertation examined the unique role of women members of Congress have had on public policy.  Prior to entering graduate school, she spent two years on Capitol Hill working for elected officials.

After services, from 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM, we will open Zoom for informal general discussion, as well as an opportunity to join a conversation group with Julie Strauss.

Please note: this service will be hosted via Zoom.
