(Virtual Service) Introduction to the Meditation Exercises of Cafh, a Path of Spiritual Unfolding
November 8, 2020 @ 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Dr. Bob Magrisso, M.D., primary care physician, will speak on the topic, Introduction to the Meditation Exercises of Cafh, a Path of Spiritual Unfolding. There are many exercises of meditation. In this talk, Dr. Magrisso will present an introduction to some exercises that are central to the spiritual practices of Cafh, practices used to stimulate and facilitate spiritual unfolding. He is hopeful that the participants will learn something they can apply on their own and also stimulate interests in themselves that can be developed further. He will situate exercises in the general philosophy and world view of Cafh which is one of Participation: each of us as a participant in the larger world in which we live, learning how to perceive and act more consciously that way. This method is “applied spirituality” since daily life, living in the present and relationships with others are the most common field of this inner work.
Dr. Magrisso has been practicing internal medicine in Winnetka for the past 30 years. He is currently on the NorthShore medical staff and University of Chicago teaching staff. He majored in physics as an undergraduate at Franklin and Marshall College, received a Masters of Engineering from Johns Hopkins University Medical School and received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Magrisso entered Cafh, a spiritual path almost 50 years ago and is an ordained practitioner of Cafh. In 1995, he had a cardiac arrest and near-death experience which has deeply influenced his practice of medicine, his art and his life.
