The Socratic Parent: How to Navigate Raising Your Child by Asking the Right Questions
January 19, 2020 @ 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Paul Sweetow, LCSW and Winnetka Counselor to Children and Teens, will speak on the topic, The Socratic Parent: How to Navigate Raising Your Child by Asking the Right Questions. What one parenting strategy is the best? Paul believes it is to parent socratically. In his new book, The Socratic Parent (available on Amazon), Paul teaches parents how to use a question format to guide their child. With this strategy children become more autonomous, build a healthy inner dialogue, and have a deeper connection with their parent. This one parenting tool will benefit every parent of any-aged child from youngsters to adult children. You will leave this presentation with tangible take-aways that you can immediately put into use.
